In a bold and exciting move that’s set to shake up the Formula 1 world, Williams Racing has announced that fans will have the unique opportunity to choose the livery for their much-anticipated 2026 car ahead of its pre-season debut. This unprecedented decision invites passionate supporters to engage directly with the team, voting on their favorite design from a selection of six striking options, all of which will grace the track when Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz take the wheel during the inaugural official test in January.

While the traditional essence of Williams will remain intact, as each livery prominently showcases the iconic Williams blue, fans can also look forward to innovative “dazzle pattern” designs. These eye-catching patterns are typically reserved for one-off liveries, adding an element of surprise and flair to the testing sessions.

Voting will be open on the team’s official website, williamsf1.com, from December 9 to December 16, allowing fans from around the globe to have their say in this historic decision. Team principal James Vowles emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, “There is no better way to start 2026 than by giving our millions of fans around the world the chance to choose what the FW48 looks like on its very first laps.”

This initiative not only strengthens the bond between the team and its supporters but also sets a precedent in the motorsport community, showcasing how modern teams can leverage fan engagement to enhance the overall experience. As Williams gears up for this thrilling season, the anticipation builds—who will win the vote and what will the future of Williams Racing look like on the grid?
